What the AI connector is
Your guard book, your questions, your AI tool. LiteLog provides Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT with a fixed list of tools; the AI tool decides from your question which one to call.
Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT
Open standard MCP (Model Context Protocol). You choose the tool, LiteLog delivers the data.
Read, or read and write
Every user picks the level and consents explicitly in the portal. Disconnect at any time.
The user’s permissions
The connection inherits the role and sites of the user who consented. Never more than they see in the portal.
No deleting
Deleting is not possible. Form templates are created as drafts only; publishing stays with you.
Questions a security company asks
No filters, no exports, no click paths. You ask in your own words, the AI tool calls the matching LiteLog tool and answers with your data.
- ✓“Which checkpoints were missed last night at site A?” Checkpoint coverage per site and day shows what was scanned and what was not.
- ✓“Which high-severity incidents are still open this week?” The incident list, filtered by severity, status and site.
- ✓“Create a task: gate 3, check the lock, today by 10 pm, with photo.” A task with due time, photo requirement and checkpoint in one call, at the “read and write” level.
- ✓“Who is scheduled at site A tonight and who is missing?” Shift staffing with attendance, plus replacement suggestions.
- ✓“Create the checkpoint coverage of the last 14 days as a PDF.” The report is requested and the AI tool returns the download link once it is ready.
- ✓“How is site A doing on its service-level commitments?” Only with the proof of service module (Premium).

Set up in three steps
The AI connector is available to your company as soon as your plan includes the REST API. An administrator can switch it off at any time under Features → Connections → AI connector.
- ✓1. Create the connector: In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector under Settings → Connectors with the address
https://api.litelog.de/mcp. In Claude Code, claude mcp add --transport http litelog https://api.litelog.de/mcpis enough. - ✓2. Allow access: The AI tool takes you to the LiteLog portal. Log in, see which program wants access, and choose “read” or “read and write”.
- ✓3. Ask: Back in the AI tool, ask your first question. From now on the connection is listed under Features → Connections and in your profile.

Permissions and limits
The connection can never do more than the user who consented. What is forbidden in the portal stays forbidden for the AI tool.
- ✓Role and sites inherited: If the user sees three sites, the AI tool sees three sites. Every writing tool needs the same permission as the action in the portal.
- ✓No deleting: Neither sites nor tasks nor incident reports. Form templates are created as drafts only; publishing, archiving and deleting happen in the portal.
- ✓Change reason: If your company requires a reason for configuration changes, the AI tool needs one too. Without a reason it writes nothing.
- ✓Client accounts: cannot set up a connection. With an expired licence, reading stays possible, writing does not.
- ✓Logging: Every connection and disconnection appears in the history. Which data the AI tool retrieves is processed by the provider you chose; see the privacy policy.

Prerequisites
Two things, nothing more.
- ✓A plan with the REST API: Standard, Premium or Enterprise. The AI connector builds on the REST API; for Claude Code, an API key is an alternative to signing in via OAuth.
- ✓Your own AI account: with Claude or ChatGPT, one that allows custom connectors. LiteLog does not provide an AI account and does not charge for the connection.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the AI connector (FAQ)
From which plan is the AI connector available?
The AI connector requires the REST API and is therefore available from the Betrieb plan, as well as in Profi and Custom. It is not included in Basis.
What does the AI connector cost?
Nothing beyond your LiteLog plan. The AI tool itself, i.e. Claude, Claude Code or ChatGPT, runs on your own account with the respective provider and is billed there. A connection does not occupy a seat.
Which data does the AI tool see?
Exactly what the user who consented to the connection sees: their role, their sites, their permissions. Never more. The answers are processed by the AI provider you chose; details are in the privacy policy.
Can the AI delete anything?
No. Deleting is not possible through the AI connector. At the “read” level it only reads. At the “read and write” level it creates or changes tasks, incident reports, shifts and form drafts, always with the same permissions the user has in the portal.
How is this different from Hannah and the AI features?
Three things sound alike: the AI connector links an external AI tool of your choice to LiteLog. Hannah is LiteLog’s own AI assistant for calls and chat. The AI features work inside LiteLog, for example when classifying incident reports or translating forms.
How do I disconnect?
In the portal under Features → Connections or in your profile. Disconnecting takes effect immediately; the AI tool receives no further data. An administrator can also switch the AI connector off for the whole company.
Can my client connect an AI through their client portal?
No. Client accounts cannot set up a connection. The AI connector is open only to users of your own company.
