Every time tracking system has the same weak spot: the moment of clocking in. QR and NFC are reliable but demand an action every single time – walk over, take out the phone, scan. Whoever is in a hurry forgets it. The concept: a beacon the size of a matchbox
A beacon is a small Bluetooth transmitter, barely larger than a matchbox. It is glued in place once – at the entrance, in the supply room, at the gate – and is practically invisible to employees. It needs neither a power supply nor a network connection; the battery lasts for years. The beacon only broadcasts an identifier within a range of a few meters. When an employee with the LiteLog app comes into range, their phone recognizes the spot and automatically suggests clocking in – one tap, and the time is running. That same moment doubles as proof that the person is actually on site: it does not get closer than a few meters.

Privacy: Bluetooth is not location tracking
The most important property of the concept is invisible: the beacon does not locate anyone. It only broadcasts an identifier – it is the employee's phone that recognizes it, not the other way around. No movement profile and no location history are created: only clock-in and clock-out at the work site are recorded, as with all LiteLog tracking methods.
